I think that community service is important because I can give people things that they need but I do not.
My favorite community service work has been doing UNICEF at Halloween.
I am looking forward to helping children most because I am a kid.
After doing community service I feel good.
October Community Service: Helping Children
This month for community service I trick or treated for UNICEF and I donated many of my toys to the fair.
In my photos, you can see me holding a UNICEF box. I also took a picture of my mom putting coins in someone else's UNICEF box. In my other pictures, I show my family collecting toys for the fair.
I do this community service work every year and I enjoy doing it. It is good to help others who don't have as much as me.
November Community Service: Helping The Environment
This month I'm going to run my family's recycling collection. I will make sure that the recyclables are put in the right containers.
In my photos, you can see me sorting the recycling into the correct bins. We sort items into different bins based on what they are made of. We have containers for plastics, boxboard, glass, cans, newspaper and cardboard. You can see our bins in the photos.
I liked the community service work I did this month. My family does recycling and I like that because it helps the earth.

This month I will donate to the food pantry.
In my photos, you can see me buying food and putting it in the box for the food pantry. I went to the store and I looked at the Wellesley food pantry sign to see what the food pantry needed. Then I got those items and put them in the box for the food pantry.
I liked doing community service this month because people that don't have as much as I do can get food.
January Community Service: Helping Animals
This month I will donate food to a animal charity called Phinney's Friends.
In my photos, you can see me getting food and toys for cats and dogs. This I will give to Phinney's Friends. Phinney's Friends will use this to help people with hardships keep their pets.
I liked doing this community service because I love pets.
February/March Community Service: Helping Seniors
This month I will bowl with seniors at Avery Crossing in Needham.
In my photos you can see me bowling with three seniors named Bill, Ann, and Norman and Paige, Izzy, and Charlotte. We split up into teams and Charlotte, Paige, and me helped set up pins wile Izzy rolled the balls back.
I liked doing this community service because it was fun and the seniors seemed like they were having fun too.
